Since August, Melbourne has been ranked 1 in The Economist's EIU's 2011 List of World Most Livable Cities. Also in the top 10 are 3 other cities in Australia, namely Sydney, Perth and Adelaide. Australia celebrates Mawson Centenary this month.  In Horbart, a Flotilla of 175 boats takes part in the celebration to mark the 100 year anniversary of Douglas Mawson's Antarctic Voyage. More details on this Australian pioneer and the tribute celebration can be found here, and also here.
