2011 Sydney to Hobart yatch race: competition is intensified for the finishing line honour, between Investec LOYAL and Wild Oats XI, in what could be one of the closest finishes in history.  More news of the race can be viewed on Foxsports.

Since August, Melbourne has been ranked 1 in The Economist's EIU's 2011 List of World Most Livable Cities. Also in the top 10 are 3 other cities in Australia, namely Sydney, Perth and Adelaide. Now that is a respectable result and something any Australian can be proud of. More details can be seen here and here.
