Centenary commemorations had been carried out to mark Australia's first ever Antarctic expedition at Commonwealth Bay in Antarctica. This event was held to celebrate Sir Douglas Mawson and his team's arrival on the icy continent.  A small commemoration delegation arrived at the historic site for this occasion.
